A tourism training forum was held in Morocco for 120 local suppliers and over 40 Chinese outbound tour operators 
Invited by Ministry of Tourism of Morocco, Dr. Adam Wu, CEO of CBN Travel & MICE and World Travel Online, and other two recommended experts came to Casablanca to attend a training forum for local suppliers in Morocco on 27, October. For a better communication between the local suppliers and Chinese tour operators, CBN Travel & MICE and World Travel Online recruited Chinese tour operators to Morocco to the training forum. Over 120 Chinese tour operators applied to come among which over 40 most important outbound tour operators paid their own air tickets to fly to Morocco to join in the event, demonstrating their commitment and eagerness to send more Chinese tourists to Morocco.

Ms. Lamia BOUTALEB, Secretary of State for Tourism, Mr. Li LI, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China in Morocco, President of the National Confederation of Tourism, Mr. Zhu SHANZHONG, Executive Director of Technical Cooperation and Services at UNWTO presented at the forum and delivered important speeches respectively. Dr. Deng, Director of Research of the Chinese Institute on Tourism, presented a speech of the evolution of the Chinese market in the world with a focus on Morocco.

Morocco sees enormous opportunities in the Chinese market, which has 130 million tourists traveling abroad annually and spending generously. In fact, one year after it lifted visa requirements for Chinese nationals, Morocco is steadily tapping into the Chinese tourist market with arrivals by July 2017 rising to 50,000 compared to 10,000 in the whole year of 2015.
 
Mr. Said Mouhid fromTourism Observatory, Mr. Htim Gharbi from Moroccan National Tourist Office, Ms. Habiba Laklalech from Royal Air Morocco, and Dr. Adam Wu took a discussion with the theme of “Prospects and Challenges of the Development of Tourists Flows Between Morocco and China”.

Dr. Adam Wu shared the ways to attract Chinese tourists and meet their expectations. He said: “Convey the message in Chinese is crucial, and logically, the most cost effective way of reaching the Chinese outbound travel market is via the China Wide Web.” He added, “Now, there are over 680 millions Chinese using social media on a daily basis, and marketing promotion on Weibo and WeChat has become increasingly popular for companies who want to allure Chinese tourists.”
 
Later, the following guests were invited to discuss the subject of “Feedback and Improvement of Service Delivery for Chinese Tourists”: Mr. Othmane Chrif Alami from Atlas Voyage Travel Agency, Ms. Lin Chaoxin from Agency Friendship Morocco China, Mr. Hamid Bentahar – President of the Regional Council of Tourism of Marrakech, Mr. Hong Chen - Executive Chairman of the Chengdu Travel Services Association, Ms. Karima Yatribi – Director of the Confucius Center, as well as Chinese tour operators.
 
The training forum was proved to be very useful for suppliers in Morocco and tour operators from China, who had a very productive B2B meeting in the afternoon. 
 
Many tour suppliers in Morocco and tour operators from China attended the training forum.The forum was followed by B2B meetings between Moroccan and Chinese tour operators.
