Jamaica Tourist Board held Fam trip for Chinese tour operators
Jamaica held a fam trip for Chinese tour operators from January 26 to February 2 to enhance the bilateral understanding, as well as to increase the number of tourist from China.
Assisted by World Travel Online, Jamaica Tourist Board has partnered up with Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association for a fam trip for travel tour operators from China to the Islands from January 26 to February 2. 
 
Chinese Embassy kindly invited the Chinese tour operators for dinner at the Embassy on their first day of arrival.
 
These tour operators traveled in a group to experience Jamaica, which boasts a great number of tourism highlights, including Blue Mountain, Davon House, National Gallery, Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, Mystic Mountain and Dunn’s River Flass in Ocho Rios, as well as Greenwood Great House, taking Sunset sail in Montego Bay and Rick’s Café in Negril.
 
The delegation visited Davon House, one of Jamaica's most celebrated landmarks, to know more the Island’s history and culture.
Blue Mountain Peak is the highest mountain in Jamaica and the delegation was impressed by its breathtaking view.
 
Bob Marley Museum is an ideal place for visitors to know more about the reggae musician Bob Marley.
Usain Bolt opened a restaurant in Montego Bay,
which helps to spread the Jamaican food culture to the guests. Delegates enjoyed its meal and took a picture with trademark 'Lightning Bolt' pose.
 
During the fam trip, the delegation had the opportunity to interact and swim with dolphins,
enjoying the thrill and love of these amazing lovable marine mammals.
 
This fam trip is held in order to increase the number of tourist from China. Apart from the itinerary to visit attractions and hotels, the Chinese delegation was invited to attend Caribbean Travel Marketplace and China – Caribbean Tourism Forum to enhance the bilateral exchanges with service providers in the Caribbean.

Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Jamaica Tourism,
said the Caribbean Travel Marketplace
offered a great platform to introduce Jamaica to international tourists on the opening ceremony.
Mr. Donovan White, Director of Jamaica Tourist Board and Mr. Omar Robinson, President of Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association introduced the rich Jamaica tourism resources to the participants.
 
CEO of World Travel Online and CBN Travel&MICE, made a presentation on the China-Caribbean Tourism Forum,
expressing the significance of Chinese-friendly promotion and service.
 
Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett said Jamaica was on the cusp of reaping the benefits of the Jamaica Tourist Board’s marketing pitch to the Chinese visitors. Jamaica is now trying to get Chinese market to be activated and the air connectivity is the premier factor to be considered.
