FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, organized by

22nd to 26th January 2020, and will have a new platform to enhance Africa’s presence at the Fair. Exhibitors from 32 African countries will be participating in FITUR 2020: Algeria; Angola; Cameroon; Cape Verde; Democratic Republic of Congo; Côte d’Ivoire; Equatorial Guinea;
Ethiopia; Gabon; Gambia;
Ghana; Guinea; Guinea-Bissau; Kenya; Madagascar;
Mali; Mauritania; Mauritius;
Morocco; Mozambique; Namibia; Senegal; Seychelles; Sierra Leone; South Africa;
Sudan; Swaziland; Tunisia; Uganda; United Republic of Tanzania; Zambia; and Zimbabwe. This is
FITUR MEET AFRICA, a tool for scheduling meetings, discovering Africa’s tourism offering and for networking with industry professionals attending FITUR.
FITUR MEET AFRICA will be an opportunity for exhibitors from Africa, in Hall 1 of the Fair, to promote their tourism offering, and for trade visitors interested in the region to discuss their demand profile. They can use it to make initial contacts and schedule meetings at their own stands during the FITUR event.
How to Participate in MEET AFRICAExhibitors or co-exhibitors from the Africa region in Hall 1, as well as trade visitors and exhibitors participating in other FITUR areas, should register and provide an explanation of their supply and demand profile. After 16
th December 2019, all registrants will receive an email with their username and password to access
FITUR MEET AFRICA’s private area where they can arrange meetings and request confirmation from the other parties. Confirmed dates will be added to an agenda of meetings to be held at each stand.
INVESTOUR, Tourism Showcase for AfricaFITUR MEET AFRICA is just one of
FITUR’s initiatives for enhancing Africa’s participation and visibility at the Fair. FITUR will once again become, as it does every year, a major showcase for African tourism when it hosts
INVESTOUR, the Tourism Investment and Business Forum for Africa, which FITUR organises in partnership with the
World Tourism Organisation and
Casa África. INVESTOUR celebrates its eleventh edition in 2020 which will take place on Thursday
23rd January, within the framework of FITUR.
INVESTOUR’s main aim is to promote sustainable development in Africa while encouraging dialogue about investment and business opportunities in the continent. The panel discussions will focus on rural tourism and cultural tourism through gastronomy and creative industries.
