The Adventure Travel World Summit will take place in Puerto Varas between October 5th and 8th of next year.
Great touristic attractions, natural beauties and an extreme geography are part of the reasons why
Chile was chosen by the Adventure Travel Trade Association, ATTA, as the venue for their next summit this up coming year. The Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) will take place in Puerto Varas between October 5th and 8th of 2015, and will summon over 700 delegates from 60 countries, among them, tour operators, specialized press and representatives of diverse destinations, establishing diverse meetings, commercial exchanges, attending workshops and going on tours to experience firsthand what Chile offers in terms of adventure travel.
Puerto Varas is one of Chile´s southern favorites, and less than two hours away taking a flight from Santiago. Its beauty is mainly focused on the Llanquihue Lake and the volcanoes that surround it. Additionally, it is an ideal place to practice kayaking, fishing, mountain climbing, trekking and skiing.
ATTA is a private organization created in 1990, whose mission is to promote the Adventure Travel industry. It has over one thousand members from more than 80 countries worldwide, being Chile the South American country with the most number of partners, having 28 tour operators and destinations forming part of the network. By the end of this year, we are expecting five new destinations and companies from Chile to join this association.
