Some of the themes to be tackled at the meeting include those of measuring return on investment (ROI) at travel companies, new technologies applied to business travel and international travel management.
Next 19th January, the Activities Programme at FITUR 2012 will provide the framework for the staging of the National Business Travel Congress, which this year will be staging its fourth edition. Organised by the Iberian Business Travel Association (IBTA), this Congress will feature a number of different papers, as well as a roundtable on the latest trends in business travel and new opportunities within the industry, both at a national and an international level.

The Congress, which will take place on 19th January at the North Convention Centre, will kick off with a paper delivered by Eric Mottard, from the Evento Plus Group, on how to measure ROI at travel companies. Then Xavier Ginesta, from the Voxel Group, will expound upon the opportunities offered by electronic billing when applied to travel companies.

Within the field of the new technologies, the Congress will also focus on functional aspects relating to mobile devices, whose use has increased significantly. In this respect, Alicia Estrada, from the Spanish agencies group that operates within the corporate field, GETBA, will present a paper entitled "Mobile Technology and Its Impact on Business Travel."

Under the heading of "The Travel Manager in Spain 2012," the Congress will also present the results of the first IBTA Observatory - Star Alliance Study on Travel Management, which will provide an overview of the main figures and trends within the sector.
