The Fourth Sino-US Tourism Directors Summit held in Nanjing.
In October, the Fourth Sino-US Tourism Directors Summit was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Chairman of CNTA & President of China Tourism Association Shao Qiwei, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration Zhu Shanzhong, Deputy Governor of Jiangsu Province Zhang Weiguo and Chairman of US Travel Association Roger Dow etc. attended the conference.

It is known that the main purpose of the conference is to deepen the implementation of the significant accord reached on "enhancing the cooperation among tourism industries and tourism fields" in the Joint Declaration on Tourism signed between Chinese government and US government during the Second US-China Strategic & Economic Dialogue, deepen the cooperation on tourism under the framework of US-China Tourism Working Group, and consolidate the achievements of previous Sino-US Tourism Directors Summits. In order to promote the sound interaction among the tourism organizations of Chinese and American governments and tourism industries of both countries, input and advice will be solicited from relevant organizations and people, especially those in the tourism industry, through attracting official municipal tourism organizations of China and America as well as the tourism enterprises to attend the conference.
Over 80 people from China provincial, regional and municipal tourism administrations, official tourism organizations of American states and cities and some tourism agencies, tourism group companies, hotel groups and airline companies attended the conference.
On the night of October 9, CNTA and Jiangsu Provincial People's Government held a welcome banquet in honor of the delegates attending the Fourth Sino-US Tourism Directors Summit. Vice Chairman of CNTA Zhu Shanzhong, Deputy Secretary-General of Jiangsu Province Zhang Jisheng and Executive Vice Chairman of US Travel Association Bruce Bommarito delivered speeches at the banquet.
