Du Jiang Meets with Croatian Ambassador to China
On February 2, 2018, Du Jiang, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), met with Nebojsa Koharovic, Croatian Ambassador to China, in Beijing. They exchanged views on China-Croatia tourism cooperation and communication and the preparation for the 4th China-CEEC High-Level Conference on Tourism Cooperation.
 
In the first place, Du Jiang extended, on behalf of CNTA Chairman Li Jinzao, welcome to the visiting ambassador. Du Jiang said China and Croatia have continuously made new headway in tourism cooperation and communication, and China attaches great importance to advancing tourism cooperation with Croatia. He expressed the wish that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in such aspects as tourism investment, tourism personnel training and better serving Chinese tourists; that China will receive more tourists from Croatia, and that the two sides will push the tourism communication and cooperation to a new high. China will do its best to support the 4th China-CEEC High-Level Conference on Tourism Cooperation to be opened in Croatia.
 
Nebojsa Koharovic said the tourism industry holds an important position in the national economy of Croatia. The Croatian side puts a premium on the Chinese tourism market and is more than willing to make it more convenient for Chinese people to travel to Croatia. The Croatian side has invited the Chinese delegation to attend the 4th China-CEEC High-Level Conference on Tourism Cooperation in Croatia and will do all it can to facilitate the trip of the Chinese delegation.
 
The two sides also discussed such affairs as setting up a Croatian tourism office in China and expanding China-Croatia tourism communication by making the most of the EU-China Tourism Year.
 
Also present at the meeting were leaders from the Embassy of Croatia in China and CNTA Department of Tourism Promotion and International Liaison.
