Vice-chairman of CNTA Met with Ms.Lurdes Soares Vaz,Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts of Guinea-Bissau


On Sep.7, Wang Zhifa, Vice-chairman of China National Tourism Administration met with Ms. Lurdes Soares Vaz, Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts of Guinea-Bissau. The two parties exchanged ideas on further strengthening communication and cooperation in tourism industry.

Wang first expressed his welcome for Ms. Lurdes Soares Vaz on behalf of China National Tourism Administration. He said, tourism industry is closely related to other industries and can provide momentum for the growth of the economy. China attaches great importance on the development of tourism industry and is actively engaged international cooperation. In the current situation of global financial crisis, cross border cooperation in tourism has become more important. He invited Guinea-Bissau to carry out promotion for its tourism resources in China, and promised that China National Tourism Administration will provide assistance in this regard. Wan Zhifa believed that there will be more extensive cooperation between the two countries’ tourism industry as bilateral exchange increases both among tourism companies and among tourists.

Ms. Lurdes Soares Vaz said Guinea-Bissau attaches great importance to its cooperation with China, and she hoped that the two countries will work more closely in the tourism sector. She said Guinea-Bissau boasts abundant natural resources and beautiful sceneries, and invited Chinese tourists to travel to Guinea-Bissau and Chinese tourism companies to invest in Guinea-Bissau.
