India participates Arabian Travel Market to promotes its medicine/wellness tourism.
Branded as “Incredible India”, Ministry of Tourism Government of India led a delegation to Dubai, participating the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) from 22 – 25 April. On 22 April, a press conference was held to promote Indian tourism resources, and Mr. Manas Ranjan Pattanaik, Deputy Director General at the Ministry of Tourism gave a presentation of India.

India has emerged as a sought-after destination for medical/wellness for tourists from all over the world. The percentage of foreign tourist arrivals in India for medical treatment has been increasing over the years and growing rapidly since the year 2000, said Mr. Manas Ranjan Pattnaik. India received 10.18 million foreign tourists at a growth rate of 15.6 percent, is showcasing its myriad attractions at Arabian Travel Market 2018.

In addition, Mr. Shri. Jafar Malik IAS, Addl. General Director of
Kerala Tourism Department also shared its well-known backwater and other activities on the press conference.
The Ministry of Tourism seeks to maintain the same pace of growth rate in international tourist arrivals over the next three years from regions, including the Middle East and China, through a multi-pronged approach comprising proactive marketing strategies.
