Iberia and IFEMA have signed a collaboration agreement that confirms the airline as the official carrier of
FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, which is due to be staged from 18 to 22 January in Madrid in its 37th edition.
Under the agreement between IFEMA and Iberia, the airline will offer discounts and special conditions to exhibitors, visitors and media for attending the trade show.
With 600 daily flights to 125 destinations in 48 countries, Iberia offers the largest international network of flights from Spain, making it the benchmark airline for all those who visit our country to attend FITUR.
For its part, IFEMA will disseminate Iberia’s participation in FITUR as the official carrier and the benefits it offers to visitors on all its communication mediums: both on all its promotion material such as pamphlets, posters, guides and through its social media channels.
Iberia, which in the person of Luis Gallego chairs the Trade Show’s Organising Committee, has been participating in FITUR since its first staging, as an exhibitor and also facilitating transport for participants in this international tourism trade fair, which each year breaks participation records. In 2016, nearly 125,000 professionals attended the trade show as well as almost 110,000 non-professional visitors and more than 9,600 exhibitor companies from 164 countries / regions.
For Víctor Moneo, Iberia’s Sales Director for Spain, “this agreement ratifies Iberia’s commitment to FITUR and the tourism industry in our country, both as a source market and as a provider of inbound services for new markets such as Asia and for specific segments such as shopping tourism”.
For Eduardo López-Puertas, Managing Director of IFEMA, “Iberia’s participation in FITUR is one of the great attractions of the Trade Show as it is the principal reference in Spain in the transport sector. It also supports the Trade Show through the Organising Committee and the service it provides for participants as the official carrier, with its unbeatable benefits”.
