On 25 August, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration Shao Qiwei met South Africa’s Minister of Tourism Marthinus van Schalkwyk in Beijing. The two parties compared views on deepening tourism exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
At the meeting, the two parties both agreed that Beijing Declaration on Building Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa signed yesterday upgraded the bilateral relationship to comprehensive strategic partnership, making practical cooperation expand to all fields and marking a new stage in tourism cooperation between China and South Africa. Based on this, tourism sectors of the two countries will make further explorations to sign a strategic agreement on increasing mutual visits and deepening tourism cooperation.
