Records Achieved at CIBTM2011
With over 390 main stand holders, a 21% growth in event space over 2010 and more than 300 Hosted Buyers (25% increase over 2010), The 6th China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (CIBTM) was successfully held in Beijing from 30th August to 1st September, 2011.
With over 390 main stand holders, a 21% growth in event space over 2010 and more than 300 Hosted Buyers (25% increase over 2010), The 6th China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition (CIBTM) was successfully held in Beijing from 30th August to 1st September, 2011. With some 4,400 Buyers and trade visitors, over 7500 Pre-Scheduled Appointments, and an increase in attendance once again for the Professional Education Seminars, CIBTM 2011 followed the growth trends for the MICE sector in the region and set them for the future by delivering the largest event of its kind since the launch in 2005.

Besides, A number of new tourist board also attended including Tourism Australia, Scandinavia Tourism Board, Geneva Tourism & Conventions, South African Tourism, Sicilia Convention Bureau, Tourism Ireland, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and Thailand Convention Bureau. 

There is no doubt that China’s meetings industry has huge potential with predictions that the sector is a $150 billion market with annual growth of 20% (HelmsBriscoe April 2011). This year’s event was clearly following the trend of growth. The impact that CIBTM will have on both inbound and outbound MICE business will clearly establish it as the annual business forum.
