Ecuador Tourism Promotion Event was successfully held in Beijing On December 21st, Vice Minister of Tourismo Eduador, Mr. Patricio Tamariz Duenas, Embassidor of Regional Representation for Commercial Affair of Ecuador, Mr. Oscar Herrera Gilbert and Minister of Regional Representation for Commercial Affair of Ecuador, Mr. Andres Penafiel Cedeno presented themselves on the scene.

 

 
Mr. Patricio Tamariz Duenas introduced the long history and rich tourism resources in Ecuador. He expressed that China has always been the importance tourism market to Ecuador, thus Ecuador is trying to simplify the process of applying for visa to Ecuador, increase the airlines and take other effective ways to attract more and more Chinese visitors to Ecuador. For example, launch the airline of Beijing – Tahiti - Quito to shorten journey of China to Ecuador.
 

Mr. Gilbert and Mr. Cedeno welcomed the Chinese tour operators to attend this event. Chinese tour operators were happy to learn about the tourism information of Ecuador and believed there will be increasing Chinese tourists who would like to accept and choose Ecuador as their next destination.
 

From January to October, Chinese citizens to Ecuador reached over 8,700, increasing to 33% compared the same period of last year, which reflected the huge potential of Ecuador tourism.
