California will focus on MICE travelers in China in 2011, with the booming of outbound tourism of China, according to the California Travel and Tourism Commission (CTTC).
"The high technology and agriculture of California is well developed, and Silicon Valley in California takes the leading role in high technology industry of the world, both good resources for MICE.
"Therefore, we will develop MICE tourism in a way which caters to the Chinese market," said Huang Zhiheng, the chief representative of CTTC in China.
According to Huang, an array of international meetings, communication plans with international companies and the convenient conference and exhibition facilities will offer travelers unique destination choice for meetings and incentive to travel.
Apart from that, the various theme parks, Hollywood locations and famous university campuses will cater to the whole family beyond just MICE.
