On August 30, Shao Qiwei, Director of China National Tourism Administration, met Kulynyak Mykhailo, Minister of Cultural and Tourism of Ukrainian in Beijing. Both exchanged views on the further enhancement of tourism communications and the reinforcement of cooperative mechanism on tourism.
On behalf of CNTA, Shao first extended a cordial welcome to the visit of the Ukrainian Minister. Mr. Shao said, China and Ukraine had launched a good cooperation in many aspects, such as politics, economy and culture, which laid a solid foundation for tourism exchanges and cooperation between the two counties. He suggested that the tourism departments in both countries join hands and cooperate to further increase the number of the tourists in bilateral tourism, and that the tourism circles enhance the exchanges and propel the mutual development of tourism in both countries.
Mykhailo said that Ukraine has a broad prospect in cooperating with China in tourism. Ukrainian tourism departments would increase their communication and exchanges with Chinese tourism circles and further expand bilateral cooperation in tourism.
