On October 10th, Shao Qiwei, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration, met with Yalochkin, Head of the Russian Federal Tourism Agency, in Dalian, who came to attend the 10th meeting of Sino-Russian Humanities Cooperation Committee.

During the talks, both sides expressed satisfaction with the overall situation of the Sino-Russian cooperation in tourism, and it was agreed that the Sino-Russian cooperation in tourism had become an effective model of Sino-Russian cooperation in the field of humanities. The two sides agreed that under the background of international financial crisis, the tourism sectors of the two countries would further strengthen their cooperation to ensure the stable development of tourism exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Shao Qiwei and Yalochkin also signed the Implementation Minutes on Sino-Russian Tourism Cooperation Plan in 2009-2010.
