British Prince Charles met with visiting Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan at Clarence House in London.
Tang said the British royal family had maintained friendly exchanges with China, and had played an important role in the development of the bilateral relations, hoping that the prince would continue his support for it.
The prince was given a briefing on China's preparations for the Beijing Olympics in August, and said that Beijing Olympics were very important. He agreed that the two countries should conduct cooperation and learn from each other in the Olympics.
The prince also hoped that Britain and China could cooperate on ecological protection, including tropic rain forest.
