MITE: Macao is a platform for cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries
MITE2017 was held from 7 to 9, July, offering a great platform for business and trade in tourism.
The Macao International Travel Expo (MITE) opened on last Friday (7 July), showcasing various tourism resources in the Chinese mainland, Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), as well as 19 countries and regions along the routes of the Belt and Road.
This three-day expo was supported by CNTA, organized by MGTO and coordinated by Macau Travel Agency Association. It has attracted over 36,000 visitors at home and abroad, and a total of 303 enterprises and entities came from 45 countries and regions to Macao for participation in the event, which covers six major sections, including dinning, accommodation, transportation, entertainment, sightseeing and shopping.

Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said at the opening ceremony that the expo was expected to enhance Macao's role as a world center of tourism and leisure, and a platform for business and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
A total of 31 agreements were signed to foster business cooperation among industry operators from Macao and other countries and regions. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, together with President of Macau Travel Agency Association, Alex Lao and other guests witnessed the signing ceremonies.
