China Eastern, Qantas ink deal to boost ties
China Eastern Airlines and Qantas are existing partners having entered into a joint venture in 2015. They currently codeshare on each other's flights.
China Eastern Airlines has signed an enhanced business agreement with Qantas wherein the two carriers have pledged to deepen their existing cooperation.
 
China Eastern Airlines and Qantas are existing partners having entered into a joint venture in 2015. They currently codeshare on each other's flights.
 
According to the terms of the updated agreement signed on August 9, the two parties will boost cooperation in various fields such as capacity deployment, joint marketing, frequent flyer programme development, and IT. In addition, they will also endeavor to standardize the quality of services available to passengers across either carrier.
 
The updated agreement is subject to government approval.
