China-Vietnam port handles over 840,000 people in 2019

Nearly 100,000 vehicles were also cleared, and 1,236 tourist groups received at the port as well.

Tianbao, a land port in southwest China's Yunnan Province to Vietnam, cleared 841,000 people for entry and exit last year, official statistics showed.

The port is an important platform linking China-ASEAN Free Trade Area. The port administration said China-Vietnam border trade and tourism have gained momentum thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative and Tianbao's privileged location.
