India is now issuing one-year multiple entry e-business-visa, with a provision to stay up to 183 days without any registration with local authorities.
As bilateral trade between India and China inches towards the USD 100-billion mark for the first time, India has liberalised the business visa regime for Chinese citizens.
Acquino Vimal, India’s deputy ambassador in China, revealed that India is now issuing one-year multiple entry e-business-visa, with a provision to stay up to 183 days without any registration with local authorities.
Chinese businessperson can now apply for an electronic visa and stay up to 183 days in India without registering with local authorities.
“Since March 2019, the e-visa facility for Chinese businessmen has been also expanded. We are now issuing one-year multiple entry e-business-visa, with a provision to stay up to 183 days without any registration with local authorities. This has considerably eased the travel of Chinese businessmen to India.” Vimal said.
Elaborating on the expanding trade ties with China, Vimal added, “The number visits by trade and investment delegations have increased. Our bilateral trade is expected to cross the significant mark of $100 billion this year.”
