The exception will apply to Chinese citizens who hold valid Multiple-entry visas in the USA, Canada, UK.
Officially from 1 June, 2017, tourists will benefit from the visa exemption to visit
Uruguay, in the condition of holding valid multiple-entry visas ( or visa valid for over 18 months) in the USA, Canada, or UK, as well as entering Uruguay territory via Montevideo Airport.
According to the tourism statistics, most of Uruguay international visitors are coming from neighboring countries, like
Argentina, Brazil, and Chile. But releasing this visa-free policy is believed to encourage more Chinese visitors to come in this year.
