Beijing Universal Tourism Exhibition of Spring 2014 will last for two days and be held in Beijing and Guangzhou. It provides a 100% B2B platform for Chinese outbound travel agencies and overseas inbound travel agencies.
Due to continued rapid growth of Chinese outbound tourism, China has grabed the attention of key tourist markets in the world often competing for potential clients. It's also the new engine in promoting the development of tourism in the Asia Pacific region.
Hot Market of Chinese Outbound Tourism
In recent years, China's GDP and per capita disposable income have kept growing. China's National Bureau of Statistics estimates that, in the first half of 2013, China's GDP totals 24.8009 trillion yuan, calculated at comparable prices, representating an increase of 7.6%. Personal income of Chinese residents grow steadily. Rural residents' income has grown faster than that of urbanites. In the same period, the disposable income of urban residents grows by 6.5% year on year, while rural residents' real disposable income grows by 9.2% year on year. The increases of personal income contributes to the warming up of outbound tourism.
In addition, the continued appreciation of the Chinese yuan or renminbi (RMB) is also a major factor in promoting outbound tourism. RMB's real effective exchange rate index rose to 116.34 in June 2013, representing the ninth consecutive month of real effective exchange rate appreciation. RMB appreciation drives down the prices for outbound travels and promotes Chinese to spend more while traveling abroad.
