"A gourmet experience at the wheel". This is how you can define the journey through different locations throughout the Atacama Desert made by The Gentleman Driver in their two-seater buggies, four-wheel tours of adventure with just enough time to enjoy the magnificent desert landscapes and feel the total freedom of experiencing each one of the sections of the trip.

 

 

The driving enthusiasts and their excursions, together with a select group of guides that prepare the routes according to the interests of drivers trying to avoid the traditional tourist routes. Each experience is conducive to the mix of contact with local cultures, their history, their aromas and typical foods. The idea is to always finish a day satisfied, but never exhausted.

The Gentleman Driver has already prepared some trips that will take place in the month of January 2014, which follow some of the routes through which Dakar 2014 will pass in Chile, such as Copiapó and Calama. The Baja 1000 Race, in which the buggies are categorized, allows you to explore areas which are inaccessible to even some 4x4 vehicles, crossing deserts, salt flats, dunes, plateaus and mountain ranges.

The Aventura Atacama, for example, running from January 12th to 14th, combines driving adventure with accommodation in domes in the middle of the desert, 5 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama, inside the Indian commune of Ayllu de Poconche. Local cuisine and Chilean wines complement the experience every night.
