Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration met Zambian Deputy Minister of Tourism in Beijing
On April 10, Zhu Shanzhong, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration met David Piri, Zambian Deputy Minister of Tourism, and his party in Beijing.
Zhu Shanzhong said that currently the tourist flow between China and
Zambia is low mainly due to inadequate transport. As the Chinese outbound tourism market matures, Chinese tourists will be increasingly attracted by the rich tourism resources in Zambia that is likely to become one of their favorite destinations. The Chinese government and relevant authorities will encourage Chinese enterprises to invest in Zambia, and the investment will gain momentum if the Zambian government launches preferential policies in this regard.
David Piri said that tourism crucial to the economic development is underdeveloped in Zambia. Actually, his country enjoys rich tourism resources, but infrastructure such as hotels is relatively backward. In order to have more Chinese enterprises in Zambia to help promote tourism, the Zambian government has rolled out various attractive tourism programs and preferential policies.
