On the evening of Spanish National Day of Oct. 12th, Consulate General of Spain in Guangzhou held a reception at Shangri-LA Hotel Guangzhou to celebrate its national day and the first anniversary of the official open of Consulate General in Guangzhou in June of last year.
Several government officials including Mr. Chen Xiaochuan (Deputy Director of Standing Committee of National People's Congress), Mrs. Gong Erzhen (Vice Mayor of Guangzhou), Mr. Carlos Morales (Consul General of Spain in Guangzhou), Mr. Luo Huanma (Economic and Commercial Consular Spain in Guangzhou) and Mr. David Ferran (Tourism Consular of Spain in Guangzhou) attended the reception.
The foundation of Consulate General in Guangzhou in June of last year demonstrates that Spain is full of confidence in Chinese market and will build up a long-term brand of Spanish tourism in China. Since Oct. 11th, its VISA office has been open to the public transacting VISA for citizens from seven provinces and regions in South China including Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Hainan, Hunan and Fujian. After the open of VISA office in Guangzhou, the processing time is shorten to 7 days. Compared with the previous 14 days, it really brings more convenience to travelers.
