2010 World Tourism Day Global Celebration & China Guangdong International Tourism and Culture Festival is grandly inaugurated in the evening of September 27 in Guangzhou Zengcheng Square, where about 20,000 guests from around the world wave the green leaves along with performers on the forest-like stage in the beautiful enening.

As sponsored by World Tourism Organization and China National Tourism Administration, the festival is hosted by the People's Government of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Tourism Bureau, Department of Publicity of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Department of Culture of Guangdong Province, the People's Government of Zengcheng City, Southern Media Corporation, etc.
2010 World Tourism Day witnesses a sweeping global celebration across 160 countries and regions in addition to the splendid gala staged in its major celebration venue of Guangdong, China. After China's first successful hosting of such global-impacting event, it is known that Shaoguan, an another major city in Guangdong, will be awarded with the honor as the major venue for the global celebration of World Tourism Day in the coming 2011 year.
