On August 3rd (Kuala Lumpur time), a delegation headed by CNTA Chairman Shao Qiwei visited Malaysia, who were warmly welcomed by the Minister of Tourism of Malaysia Ms. Huang Yanyan, the new Ambassador of China to Malaysia Chai Xi and other people at the airport.
Shao Qiwei and Minister Huang Yanyan held formal meeting at Kuala Lumpur Golden Horse Royal Hotel after a short meeting at the airport. Huang Yanyan indicated that, she came to welcome Chairman Shao Qiwei entrusted by the premier and vice premier of Malaysia; the cooperation between Malaysia and China on tourism was sound and Malaysia highlighted the relationship between development and protection in tourism development under post financial crisis, and emphasized people’s interests; in last year, tourism industry contributed 19% share to the GDP of Malaysia, becoming one of the top five industries; Malaysia expected to deepen the cooperation with China and attract Chinese investors to invest in Malaysia.
Shao Qiwei asked Minister Huang to give his best regards to the premier and vice premier of Malaysia and extended gratitude for the warm welcome of Malaysia. Meanwhile, on behalf of CNTA, he congratulated Malaysia tourism industry on its outstanding achievement; China and Malaysia had similar policies and measures on attracting foreign investment and optimizing tourism investment market: encouraging domestic enterprises to expand overseas market on the one hand, and welcoming foreign enterprises to invest on the other hand.
