On May 25, the 10th World Travel & Tourism Conference themed as “Tourism Entering a New Field as the World’s Biggest Industry” was opened in the gorgeously decorated conference hall of China World Hotel in Beijing. Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and State Councilor Liu Yandong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of Beijing Municipal Committee of CPC Liu Qi, Mayor of Beijing Guo Jinlong, CNTA Chairman Shao Qiwei, and Secretary General of World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai attended the opening ceremony.

Related officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Railway, State Environmental Protection Administration, State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Civil Aviation Administration of the Ministry of Transport and from the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Beijing Municipal Government were present in the opening ceremony. The conference was co-hosted by China National Tourism Administration and Beijing Municipal People’s Government, and undertaken by Beijing Tourism Administration and Beijing Tourism Group.
