Malaysia recorded a total of 2,030,337 tourist arrivals in August, representing an increase of 10.4 percent from 1,839,235 tourist arrivals for the same month in 2008.
Cumulatively, tourist arrivals recorded from January to August 2009 were 15,380,505, an increase of 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
China (including Hong Kong & Macau) (660,940) is the fifth generating market for Malaysia from January to August 2009.
