Five more countries have been approved as travel destinations for Chinese citizens.
These five countries are Argentina, Venezuela, Uganda, Bangladesh and Andorra, They have been given Approved Destination Status (ADS) from the Chinese government, which means that from January 1, 2007 Chinese tourist groups are allowed to visit them.
A representative from the China National Tourism Administration says that they already signed agreements with the five countries and completed the relevant preparations. From next year on, travel agencies in China can organize travel groups to these 5 countries after they have reached cooperations and signed contracts with concerned travel agencies from those countries.
At present, travel agencies are busy designing travel products to those countries. 129 nations and regions have Chinese ADS status, and 89 of them currently receive tourist groups.
