World Tourism Marketing Summit (WTMS) will take place in Nanjing , China on November 22 2005, the sponsor, Beijing International Tourism and Travel Market(BIT TM) is China’s only business to business exhibition, focusing exclusively on outbound travel.
It is expected to attract 20,000 government officials, industry professionals and press from all over China. 400 senior travel and tourism executives from China and all over the world as well as Chinese ministers and government officials and representatives of international tourism organizations will gather in Nanjing to discuss issues of promoting international travel and tourism. WTMS will highlight and discuss the most recent developments of outbound Chinese travel.
China has been named world’s fastest growing tourism market and the participants of the summit will be able to see firsthand China’s massive potential for outbound tourism. With so many countries receiving Approved Destination Status (ADS) from the Chinese government, the battle for the Chinese travelers begins.
“The whole world wants a slice of China’s huge, growing and increasingly liberal market,” - said PATA Managing Director of Strategic Intelligence Centre Mr John Koldowski.
