Chinese visitors are keen on visiting new destinations in Africa, local tourism authorities are getting ready

Africa is becoming an increasingly popular travel destination among adventure-seeking Chinese tourists. The number of visitors who went to Africa in 2016 was up sharply due to looser visa restrictions and new direct flights between China and Morocco, Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Africa, among other popular destinations. Chinese arrivals in South Africa alone were up 93 percent last year.

Tourism authorities in Africa were very excited about the numbers of Chinese tourist and also knew that China tourism market with huge potential is worthy to develop. At the FITUR 2017, some tourism authorities such as Instituto de Fomento Turistico de Angola, Direcção Turismo e Transportes da Cabo Verde, Ministry of Tourism and Leisure of Cameroon, Moroccan National Tourist Office, Agency De Promotion Touristique De Mali cooperated with China Business Network(CBN) and its affiliated World Travel Online, and will promote their tourism resources in China to attract more Chinese tourists by developing Chinese website, launching Weibo and WeChat and attending travel fairs in China in 2017.

Invited by CBN, qualified Chinese hosted buyers came all the way to Madrid for attending FITUR to develop some new destination around the world especially in Africa. CBN also help them to establish cooperation with foreign incoming service providers, such as Pars Tourist Agency in Iran.
