The Cyber Area of CITBM 2007 sponsored by The stand of CBN and World Travel Online
The China Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (CIBTM) took place from 3-5 July at the China World Exhibition Hall in Beijing. As a result of the increased participation, 3282 pre-scheduled appointments have been organised between exhibitors and buyers prior to the event opening. Over 200 Hosted Buyers met up with 255 exhibiting companies from 30 countries that were also freqented by over 3000 trade visitors during the three days.
China Business Network(CBN) and its World Travel Online (www.lvyou168.cn) project dedicated to the outbound travel from China were invited to attend the exhibition with the colorful and very eye catching stands with the sponsored Cyber Area of 36 sqm. A great many exhibitors and trade visitors were forming crowd and queuing up for visiting the CBN stand and benefited from the online facilities that the Cyber Area provided and further realized the importance of the China Wide Web for outbound travel from China.

Graeme Barnett, Event Director states "We are pleased to be able to offer CIBTM exhibitors an even wider selection of local, regional and international buyers to meet during the event. The appointments system is such a unique and vital element for meetings and incentives industry events and we are convinced that exhibitors will notice the difference on the show floor."
The CIBTM education program is designed to provide opportunities to gain knowledge about the meetings industry and to enhance skills necessary to work within it. The program is presented by industry experts and international professional associations; it includes sessions such as China' s Big Opportunity to Win Big Meetings, The developments in Technology within the Meetings Industry in China, What Event Planners Need to Know About Planning Events in China and Developing the Meeting Professional in China.
A key session, to be held at 3pm on Wednesday, will feature the results of a major research study that illustrates inbound and outbound business flows of the meetings industry in China.
Paul Kennedy MBE, Group Exhibition Director states "We believe this is the first such study which has sought to separate characteristics of the meetings sector as distinctly separate from the wider tourism sector. The study is important to grow and recognize China' s developing meetings and incentives industry".
