Chinese Premier Li Keqiang Meets with Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic
China is ready to join Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to focus on key fields and deepen pragmatic cooperation for common development, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on July 7.
He made the remarks while meeting with BiH Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic in Sofia, Bulgaria, where they attended the seventh leaders' meeting of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries.
Premier Li said China is willing to steadily advance the thermal power project with BiH, and supports Chinese companies to participate in BiH's infrastructure construction including upgrading highways and railways.
China attaches importance to BiH's desire to export agricultural products to China, and is willing to expand imports of such goods, Premier Li said, adding that he hopes that both sides can give play to their respective advantages to strengthen cooperation in forestry resources development and deep processing.
He also called for the promotion of two-way tourism and cultural exchanges to consolidate the public opinion base for the development of bilateral relations.
Zvizdic said the two countries enjoy great potential for cooperation in the fields of industry, energy, transportation and agriculture. BiH is pleased to see that projects such as the thermal power station have progressed smoothly.
He thanked the Chinese enterprises for their assistance in the economic and social development and infrastructure construction in his country.
Bosnia and Herzegovina hopes to draw on the strength of its cultural diversity and strengthen cultural and tourism exchanges with China, he said.
The country attaches importance to the 16+1 cooperation platform and hopes to work with China to strengthen regional economic ties and market connectivity, he added.
