CNTA Chairman Li Jinzao held a meeting with His Excellency Numan Kurtulmus, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, in Chengdu on September 14.
Li welcomed the Turkish delegation and said, “Turkey is known for its beautiful scenery, long history and profound cultural heritage. We would like to deepen tourism cooperation with you under the Belt and Road Initiative and offer support and assistance for your marketing activities in China under the upcoming Turkey Tourism Year of 2018 program. Turkish tourism companies are also welcomed to join the World Tourism Alliance.”
Mr. Kurtulmus remarked, “Our two countries have a long-lasting relationship and our tourism cooperation has been furthering. We attach great importance to the 2018 Tourism Year program and have done a lot in preparation for it. We hope the program will cement our bilateral tourism ties and expand the two-way personnel exchange between us. We will vigorously support our tourism companies to join the World Tourism Alliance and explore more channels for tourism cooperation.”
Also present at the meeting were departmental heads of CNTA and Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
