Li Jinzao, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), met with Nikolina Angelkova, Bulgaria’s Tourism Minister, in Chengdu on September 12.
Li pointed out that Bulgaria is an important country along the Belt and Road, and its tourism industry enjoys a broad prospect with abundant tourism resources. He hoped that the Bulgarian side could intensify efforts to train more Chinese-speaking tour guides, increase the number of Chinese signs, and improve the environment to better serve Chinese tourists.
Angelkova praised the remarkable achievements of China’s tourism Industry. She said that Bulgaria is willing to strengthen tourism cooperation with China via the platform of the World Tourism Alliance (WTA) and making efforts to provide more convenient services for Chinese tourists.
Heads of relevant departments of CNTA and Bulgaria’s Tourism Ministry also attended the meeting.
