Ghana tourism promotion took place successfully in Beijing
Ghana introduced its rich tourism resources to over 70 Chinese tour operators at the workshop, which was held on April 16.
Ghana Destination Promotion Workshop was Jointly organized by Ghana Tourism Authority and Embassy of Republic of Ghana in Beijing with the support of CBN on April 16th, 2019. Ghana’s Ambassador to China H.E. Edward Boateng delivered a very welcoming message to invite Chinese tour operators followed by destination presentation by CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority Mr. Akwasi Agyeman. Minister-Counselor for Consular of Fairs Mr. Sylvester Kofi Acherekoh explained the detailed procedure of applying for various different visa for visiting Ghana.

CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority Mr. Akwasi Agyeman
presented the rich tourism resources of Ghana for Chinese tour operators. 
CEO of World Travel Online and CBN Travel and MICE, Dr. Wu led his professional team to support the event and ensure it running smoothly.
 
Wealth of resources, democratic political system, and dynamic economy makes Ghana undoubtedly one of Africa's leading lights. With its welcoming beaches, gorgeous hinterland, rich culture, vibrant cities, diverse wildlife, easy transport and affable inhabitants, it's no wonder Ghana is sometimes labeled Africa for beginners.
 
Many local service providers joined the delegation with Ghana Tourism Authority, including the representatives from Ghana Airports and Apstar Tours.
 
Ms. Amma Faake Gadzekpo,
Head of Business Development Department of Ghana Airports
introduced the air connections between China and Ghana. 
Director of Apstar Tours, Mr. Samuel Appenteng said that the products of Apstar could meet the needs of Chinese tourists. 
 
The event was held during the COTTM2019, which lasts from 15th to 17th April, and serves as a window for Chinese tour operators to know more about Ghana tourism. Over 70 Chinese tour operators were invited to the workshop and expressed their interest, as well as eagerness, to enhance their business in Ghana.
 
After the workshop, Chinese tour operator were welcomed to a gala dinner
in which they had the pleasure to sample some delicious food.
