On December 17, local time, CNTA Chairman Li Jinzao met with Brand USA President & CEO Chris Thompson in Chicago during the China-US Tourism Cooperation Forum.

 

At the meeting, Li was grateful for Thompson’s attention to the four suggestions he made at the forum on strengthening China-US tourism cooperation and hoped that both parties would hold in-depth discussion on cooperation in tourism investment. He suggested organizing Chinese and American entrepreneurs to invest in each other’s large-scale tourism facilities, planning and on-going tourism projects, and hosting the China-US tourism investment forum next year when appropriate. He also hoped that China-US Tourism Leadership Summit mechanism would continue to play its role in strengthening inter-city cooperation and fostering a bigger cooperation platform.

 

Mr. Thompson welcomed Li who was on his first trip to the United States as CNTA Chairman and thanked CNTA for its support in US tourism promotion in China. He said that China-US tourism cooperation was important to the world and the US said would respond proactively to expand the personnel exchange scale, facilitate visa applications and promote cooperation in tourism investment by hosting the 9th China-US Tourism Leadership Summit to be held next year in the United States.
