With meticulous planning and organization by CBN Travel & MICE, the Jamaican Press Conference and Workshop for Chinese Tour Operators was successfully took place during COTTM in Beijing on April 9th.

Dr. Wykeham McNeill, Minister of Tourism and Entertainment of Jamaica and H.E. Mr. Ralph Thomas, Ambassador of Jamaica to China presented at the Jamaican Press Conference and Workshop, announcing that Jamaican government has approved a new regime that Jamaica will waive the requirement for Visas for Chinese nationals travelling for purposes of tourism up to 30 days.
It was confirmed by Embassy of Jamaica in Beijing that the regime will be implemented on June 6. Chinese tourists will be easy to this fantastic destination soon.
According to the minister, China now is the biggest outbound travel market around the world, thus, Jamaican government has been making concerted efforts to develop the Chinese market in the tourism industry by relaxing its visa requirements.

Besides, Mr. Paul Pennicook, the representative of Jamaica Tourism Board, brought the rich tourism resources and products of Jamaica to Chinese tour operators during the workshop, as well as well come more Chinese tourists to Jamaica.
