On the 30th Jan, the Prince and Princess of Spain opened the 33rd International Tourism Trade Fair (Fitur) in Madrid which attracted more than 9000 exhibitors from 167 countries including a large delegation from China.
FITUR is regarded as one of the leading international travel exhibitions in the world, was opened officially by the royal highnesses, the Prince and Princess of Spain on the 30th Jan 2013 and will last 5 days and is expecting up to 200,000 visitors from both Spain and other parts of the world.

On the first day of Fitur 2013, China Business Network (CBN) joined forces with CNTO Madrid office organised the China Tourism Forum which proved to be very popular among exhibitors and visitors at Fitur. Both inbound and outbound session were over-subscribed. Senior tourism officials including President of International Council of Tourism Partners and Chairman of Spanish Tour Operators Association as well as from China have shared their experience and insight into travel and tourism both to and from China. Dr. Adam Wu, Chief Operating Officer of China Business Network, presented both the sessions and also gave a training on “how to reach the outbound travel trade most cost-effectively and how to cater for Chinese visitors successfully ” to tourism promotion authorities and travel companies that are keen on attract visitors from China.

Meanwhile, World Travel online has been the official media supporter of Fitur by developing its Chinese web pages and also released many news and e-shots about Fitur to the travel trade in China. Also, CBN has been supporting IFEMA by organising Chinese operators as hosted buyers to attend the Fitur and its B2B workshop.
