China Business Network (CBN) and
World Travel Online (WTO), served as the co-organizer, achieved great success in planning and execution for this event. More than one hundred trade professionals were attracted to attend this activity.
H.E. Luis Schmidt, Chilean Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, emphasized in the opening speech, “It is very important to strengthen the cooperation in tourism between China and Chile.” And he welcomed the trade professionals to attend Seven Countries of South American Road Show held next month.

In 2011, the bilateral trade volume between China and Chile exceeded 30 billion U.S. dollars. It is expected to double to 60 billion in 2015, showing a great development trend.” Mr. Gonzalo Matamala, Trade Commissioner of Chile in Beijing, Embassy of Chile to the People’s Republic of China chaired this event.

Mr. Felix de Vicente Mingo, Chairman of PROCHILE stressed, “We will pay more attention to promote our tourism resources to develop China market.”
The number of Chinese tourists visited Chile including business and M.I.C.E travelers increases year by year. The representative of Turismo Chile promoted tourism resources of Chile, “Chile is divided into five distinct geographic and climatic zones, including the North and the Atacama Desert, Santiago and the Central zone, Lake River and Volcanoes, Patagonia and the extreme Southern, and the Islands, offering different sceneries. Beside attractive spots, various fruits and seafood will get a feast for Chinese visitor’s appetite.”

Chile Tourism Seminar - Flavors of Chile came to the highlight with the exotic cuisine of Chile, including blueberry, prune and wine, creating a relax atmosphere for business communication.
The event was welcomed by tourism professionals. Ms. Zhang Shunfang, the General Manager of Latinte Travel said, “From this activity, we know that Chile has rich tourism resources. Travelling to Chile not only can visit many beautiful sceneries, but also enjoy cuisine. I expect to have a Chile tour."
Ms. Zhang Huiling from Outbound Travel Center of China CYTS commended, “Our company has set 2012 as ‘the Year of the America’. This event is a very good opportunity for us to learn Chile tourism and help to develop Chile and even the South America tourism market.”
Chile Tourism Seminar - Flavors of Chile introduced rich tourism resource to Chinese tourism professionals, helping them to develop new business such as trade visit on food, thematic tour of flavors.
