Jetstar takes off with first ever direct flights - Singapore To Guilin
Jetstar has become the first carrier to fly direct from Singapore to one of China's most popular tourist destinations Guilin.

Jetstar has become the first carrier to fly direct from Singapore to one of China's most popular tourist destinations Guilin, situated in north-east Guangxi province, with inaugural flight 3K 827 taking off yesterday morning at 10 am.

Jetstar is the first and only carrier to offer a direct link from Singapore, the carrier's growing Asian hub, to the tourism hot spot which last year welcomed over 18 million visitors.

The new direct flights between Singapore and Guilin are set to accommodate more tourists not just from Singapore but from Australia, Asia and Europe via Jetstar's growing hub operations out of Singapore.

The new flights will more than half the previous travel time for travelers from Singapore who had been transiting through Hong Kong or Guangzhou - making the route more accessible to more people.

The twice weekly A320 service represents Jetstar's third mainland China route and sixth overall Chinese and Taiwan destination, in an expanding network.

The new service between Singapore and Guilin departs from Singapore Changi Airport Terminal One and Guilin Liangjiang International Airport. Jetstar also operates daily services from Singapore to Taipei and Macau and up to three times daily services from Singapore to Hong Kong.
