On March 1, 2010, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks with visiting Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandrokovic in Beijing.

Yang said that since the establishment of diplomatic ties 18 years ago, the relations between the two countries have been developing smoothly. China attaches importance to developing ties with Croatia and is ready to continue to maintain high-level exchanges, deepen political trust, promote economic, tourism and humanities cooperation and strengthen exchanges at local levels with Croatia to push forward bilateral ties.

Jandrokovic said that the two countries have maintained sound political relations, creating favorable conditions for both sides to expand pragmatic cooperation. He believed that with the joint efforts of both sides, the economic, trade and tourism cooperation between the two countries will yield positive results.

Both sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.
