Wang Zhifa first welcomed Jamaican delegation headed by Hon. Edmund Bartlett to participate in China International Travel Mart 2009. He said that although exchange visits among tourists from two countries at present are comparatively small, the bilateral tourism exchanges and cooperation will enjoy a bright and promising future with the deepened exchanges in bilateral political, economic and cultural spheres. Wang Zhifa suggested that Jamaican tourism authorities can take the initiative to call on Caribbean countries to jointly promote regional tourism routes.

Tourism Minister of Jamaica agreed in full. He also praised the efforts that China Business Network (CBN) as the official representative of Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) in China has made in promoting Jamaica and the Caribbean region together in China. He said that Jamaican tourism authorities will take advantage of next year's World Expo 2010 Shanghai as a platform to make greater efforts for tourism promotion. The two sides also consultated in terms of air routes, travel visas and other issues.
