The only business to business outbound event in China dedicated to the Chinese outbound travel and tourism industry, COTTM (China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market), was held its 6th during 28th – 30th April, 2010 in Beijing, China. World Travel Online was the media partner to support and cover the whole exhibition again.
This year the exhibition included 230 exhibitors from 55 different countries, from Australia to Azerbaijan; Croatia to Cuba; Thailand to Tanzania, creating a global platform of destinations and services, and the business opportunities to meet with the key Chinese industry professionals and buyers.
Mr. Takaruza Munyanyiwa, the Counselor of Zimbabwe Embassy talked about the tourism of the country on the interview given by World Travel Online during COTTM, “Zimbabwe has been the ADS destination since 2004, and we have achieved lots of positive result. Today, we receive about 70000 Chinese visitors to Zimbabwe every year, and the number is still growing.”
Situated in southern part of Africa, Zimbabwe ranks fourth out of the top tourist destinations in Africa. Zimbabwe's top tourist attractions including the Great Zimbabwe Ruins and the world famous Victoria Falls where the Zambezi River cascades over a 1,700 metre wide precipice eventually flowing into Lake Kariba, a large inland lake that offers a wide range of water-sports. The country has three large national conservation parks where the best of Africa's wildlife is to be seen.
Apart from tourist attractions, Zimbabwe offers numerous facilities for sport and recreation. It has over 70 golf courses, many set in superb surroundings attached to first class resort hotels.
