CIBTM 2012 was successfully held in Beijing
CIBTM 2012 was successfully held in Beijing from 12th to 14th september, it attracted more than 5,000 meeting professional attendees over its three days as well as 398 exhibitors, with an 18 percent increase in the number of exhibitors from China.
The seventh edition of Reed Travel Exhibitions’ (RTE) CIBTM meetings industry trade show opened in Beijing, 12 September. As the UN World Tourism Organization predicts, China will be the world’s largest country for outbound tourism by 2020.

The show attracted more than 5,000 meeting professional attendees over its three days — up from 4,400 in 2011 — as well as 398 exhibitors, up 7 percent from 2011, with an 18 percent increase in the number of exhibitors from China. Also up — by 15 percent — was the number of pre-scheduled appointments between suppliers and hosted buyers, the number of which was up 36 percent from 2011.

Spain is a big market for MICE. Madrid and Barcelona are listed among top 10 cities of MICE in the world. Famous travel service provider, NT Incoming Destination Management Company, and El Corte Inglés, the biggest shopping group in Spain, came together for attracting more Chinese visitors.
