Chinese tourists' average consumption of hotel overseas reach RMB 1023 per night in the first half of 2012.
According to the newest Hotel Price Index (HPI) from Hotels.com, travellers have paid higher prices for their hotel rooms during the first half of the year in every corner of the world. The HPI shows that Chinese tourists' average consumption of hotel overseas reach RMB 1023 per night in the first half of 2012, ranking the sixth in world and climbing 2 ranks compared with the same period last year.
The report surveyed 26 countries about hotels' conditions of consumption, showing that average consumption on overseas hotels of 19 countries' tourists exceeds that on domestic hotels. For Chinese tourists, there is a much significant discrepancy between the average consumption on domestic and overseas hotels, the former RMB 605 and the latter RMB418 more.
