At least 85,318 Chinese tourists visited Nepal in the first six months of 2019, which sees a 19.53-percent year-on rise over the same period of 2018, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has said.
Issuing a statement here on Wednesday, NTB informed that the half-year period from January to June ended with a positive growth in tourist arrivals in the Himalayan country.
The number of Chinese tourists visiting Nepal from January to June in 2018 had stood at 71,379, according to the main tourism promotion body of Nepal.
China is the second largest tourism source market for Nepal following India.
