Portugal: Chinese tourist numbers up
The number of Chinese tourists visiting Portugal has soared by 40 percent during the first nine months of the year.
According to Tourism Secretary Ana Mendes Godinho, addressing the national travel agents' congress, the record-breaking number of Chinese tourists coming to Portugal has been largely due to a new air-link connection between Lisbon and Beijing.

Overall tourism revenue was also up by almost 20 percent, with figures for the first nine months of the year already topping the total income generate during the whole of 2015.
